AIIB to co-fund transportation projects with other development banks

The Chinese-lead Asian Infrastructure and Development Bank’s first projects will be a highway in Pakistan, a road project in Tajikistan, and a ring road in Almaty, Kazakhstan, according to people with knowledge of the projects and tender documents. All three projects are co-funded with other development banks like the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, and others, which allows the AIIB to “have something to show and establish a project portfolio that will help them get a better credit rating”.
