Kapaeeng Foundation is a human rights organization established on 1 April 2004 to promote and protect the rights of the indigenous peoples of Bangladesh. KF aims to promote and protect the human rights of indigenous peoples by conducting advocacy, lobby, and campaign programs at local, national, regional, and international levels, establishing a solid network and partnership with national, regional, and international organizations and individuals working on the promotion and protection of human rights as well as indigenous peoples rights; and by raising the capacity of indigenous peoples in promoting and protecting human rights.

Our work in development finance
Kapaeeng monitors projects financed by development banks and documents violations to ensure that indigenous peoples’ rights are respected. The advocacy and campaign work are geared towards demanding transparency and accountability from government and development banks and engage independent safeguards mechanisms to protect indigenous peoples’ rights.
