Il a soutenu des programmes de r\u00e9duction de la pauvret\u00e9 et d&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration des moyens de subsistance, mais aussi des projets nuisibles \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, tels que des centrales \u00e0 charbon, des m\u00e9ga-barrages hydro\u00e9lectriques et des usines d&rsquo;engrais polluantes.<\/p>\n<p>La BAD a le pouvoir de fa\u00e7onner le programme de d\u00e9veloppement de tous les pays africains. Ses projets, qu&rsquo;ils soient bons ou mauvais, ont un impact direct sur la vie de millions de personnes. Safeguards are a crucial instrument for all the people impacted by the projects and activities of the bank: they are a set of rules designed to mitigate and remedy potential negative impacts development projects might have on the environment or vulnerable social groups, including children, Indigenous Peoples, and people with disability.
