The Public Interest Law Center (PILC) uses high-impact legal strategies to advance the civil, social, and economic rights of communities in the Philadelphia region facing discrimination, inequality, and poverty. PILC uses litigation, community education, advocacy, and organizing to secure access to fundamental resources and services.

Our work in development finance

PILC advocates for the World Bank to integrate human rights into its guiding principles, and to respect human rights. PILC monitors and controls projects financed by the development banks, and participates in international networks that work on the issue of development finance.
