FUNDEPS Joins Coalition’s International Secretariat

Mar 21, 2016

The Coalition for Human Rights in Development is pleased to announce the first step in the creation of an international Secretariat. Coalition member Foundation for the Development of Sustainable Policies (FUNDEPS), based in Córdoba, Argentina, will join the Coalition’s Secretariat this month to support Coalition efforts around the BRICS New Development Bank, the Human Rights Due Diligence Project, and outreach and advocacy in Latin America. Gonzalo Roza, Coordinator of FUNDEPS’ Global Governance Area, will lead the work as Secretariat staff for the Coalition. Gonzalo brings a wealth of experience in research and advocacy around human rights and environment, global governance, financial institutions, and grievance mechanisms.

The international Secretariat will include staff in various regions in order to allow the Coalition to better support our global membership and be more connected to the impacts of development finance and struggles for human rights. We hope to add positions in Africa and Asia within the coming year.

Gonzalo can be reached at gon.roza@fundeps.org.
