March 30, 2015- The Bank on Human Rights Coalition issued the following submission to the staff and Directors of the World Bank as part of the Bank’s ongoing safeguards review:
The submission lays out critical gaps in the proposed safeguards draft, and proposes text to address these gaps and to ensure that Bank-financed activities serve the development needs and priorities of local communities and do not cause, contribute to or exacerbate human rights violations.
