AIPNEE is a regional platform of Indigenous human rights defenders and their organizations working with or supporting Indigenous communities affected by extractive and energy projects of States and corporate actors implemented in their territories. It works to:
– Document and monitor the impact of extractive industries and energy projects on Indigenous Peoples’ rights.
– Strengthen information sharing and inter-community exchanges on the situation of the affected Indigenous Peoples and their struggles.
– Expose violations of Indigenous Peoples’ rights, gather broad support for community actions, and support complaints to appropriate international and domestic bodies.
