Our work in development finance
Ecoaction calls on international investors, such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), to create stronger incentives for their clients to implement the EU's green agenda for agriculture in future investments.
Ecoaction supports coal mining communities in Ukraine and advocates for a constructive dialogue between authorities and local populations to address socio-economic challenges caused by mine liquidation. This includes re-profiling coal mining, attracting investments for new economic activities, and providing employment and retraining for laid-off workers.
As a result of Russian aggression, Ukraine faces numerous challenges including infrastructure reconstruction, energy security, EU legislation implementation, climate change mitigation, and more. The country is already planning its reconstruction, focusing on green post-war principles such as sustainable solutions, transparency, technology use, decarbonization, and preservation of ecosystems. Ecoaction and other NGOs aim to integrate these principles into national legislation and work with local communities and UA Government for sustainable development.
