The Africa Movement-of-Movements Building Space (AMBS) is a collective of various organizations, working to deepen and strengthen relationships and collaboration among African actors and networks working on climate, energy, social and development justice issues. Its goal is to help build an alternative development pathway for Africa and the rest of the world. AMBS’s works to:
- Building a movement to bring interlinked issues into the climate discourse, such as energy, food security, debt, development, feminism, human rights, and security.
- Co-creating a platform for inclusive convening, interaction, coordination and collaboration.
- Moving the needle by bridging the gap between where we are and where we want to go.
- Building connections and relationships within the climate movement.
- Seeing individual contributions through the spectrum of a common agenda and breaking silos.
- Developing and propose meaningful solutions to climate issues.
- Exploring new campaign fronts against climate change and developmental issues.
