Fundar is a plural and independent civil society organization -based in Mexico- that is governed by the principles of horizontality and transparency. Through its work, Fundar seeks to advance toward substantive democracy and contribute to generating structural changes that positively transform power relations between society and government. It aims to build a fair and participatory society where the State fully complies with the human rights of individuals, communities, and people to generate dignified living conditions and well-being for all.

Our work in development finance
Fundar supports the defense of the territory and the human rights of both indigenous and campesino communities against extractive projects. This is done through capacity building, strategic litigation, providing information and analysis, and public policy advocacy, working closely with different networks and alliances at a national and regional level.
