International Disability Alliance (IDA)

IDAThe International Disability Alliance (IDA) was established in 1999 as a network of global and, since 2007, regional organizations of persons with disabilities (DPOs) and their families. The Alliance aims to promote the effective and full implementation of the UN CRPD worldwide and compliance with the UN CRPD within the UN system through the active and coordinated involvement of representative organizations of persons with disabilities at the national, regional, and international levels. IDA advocates for a more inclusive global environment for persons with disabilities and their organizations.

Our work in development finance

IDA is invested in ensuring that the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals are inclusive and in line with CRPD. IDA supports organisations of persons with disabilities worldwide to take part in UN and international human rights processes, and use international accountability mechanisms.
