The Phenix Center for Economics & Informatics Studies (PCEIS) was founded in Amman, Jordan, in 2003. It is a non-governmental organization dedicated to independent policy research and measuring public opinions on impactful current and emerging issues in Jordan’s economics, society, and legislative environment. The Center promotes a sustainable developmental paradigm in Jordan, rooted in human rights and the principles of democratic governance, by focusing on reforming labor policies, lifting restrictions on freedom of association, and strengthening social protection policies.
Mission
To promote the creation of a society based on democracy principles and human rights and enhance the role of political actors and civil society in Jordan and in the Arab region in order to enable them to play an effective role in the country’s political, economic and social life.
