Derecho, Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (DAR) is a non-profit civil organization that, since its foundation in 2004, has carried out actions to contribute to the country’s development through the sustainable management and use of its natural resources and environmental management in the Amazon region. DAR focuses on environmental policy and legislation, forests, indigenous peoples, infrastructure and extractive investments (except mining and fishing), climate change, and good governance. In addition, it articulates and integrates the national scale with the local and international scale through three cross-cutting approaches: Sustainability, Governance, and Human Rights.

DAR works for the coherent integration of public policies, social practices and economic activities, defining a vision of sustainable development. We are focused on the empowerment of local stakeholders to achieve the necessary governance for sustainable development in the Amazon Forests.
