Network Movement for Justice and Development (NMJD)

NMJDEstablished in 1988 in eastern Sierra Leone, NMJD is a national human rights-oriented civil society development and advocacy organization. NMJD engages government on policy reform matters and has a long history and experience working with grassroots communities in Sierra Leone. It engages in advocacy and strengthens the capacity of civil society organizations and rights holders to effectively engage women, men, children, communities, government, and other actors to transform society.

Our work in development finance

NMJD utilizes human rights instruments to document violations of community rights and advocate for judicial and non-judicial redress. It also works to hold MNCs accountable in the mining sector. NMJD has recently engaged with the World Bank and AfDB in the agriculture and infrastructure sectors.
