Witness Radio Organization is a nonpartisan and not-for-profit registered network of human rights investigative journalists, lawyers, and social workers using legal aid support and media-leaning approaches. Its primary focus is to promote and protect economic, social, and cultural rights and development in Uganda. Started in 2016, the organization provides legal representation and support to poor, vulnerable, and land grab-affected communities. It uses Information Communication Technology (ICT) platforms as its primary mediums to achieve its goals. Witness Radio mobilizes, organizes, and empowers native communities to understand land laws and to take a central role in defending and protecting their lands using the same legal framework.
