Open Briefing – This resource offers guidance on how to provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) to activists and presents a set of self-care strategies to cope with traumatic events. It includes a description of common responses to traumatic events, helpful self-care strategies for affected persons, and a guide to providing aid in three stages. PFA is an evidence-based approach for assisting people of any age or background in the immediate aftermath of traumatic events. It can reduce initial distress, foster short- and long-term coping behaviours, and reduce the occurrence of PTSD.
